Tingle Paper Mill

Peyton has been having us all save the dryer lint for months now. He wanted to make his own paper. It was a fun project. Everyone enjoyed their paper making adventure. They are going to use some of the paper to make Grandmother Tingle a birthday present. It wasn't the easiest project to do!!!

Great Grandmother Tingle

The girls had to go see Dr Iyer this week. They each got one shot. We thought we might register them for Pre K, but I think we've decided against it. We like the freedom that comes with them being at home. There is not a doubt in my mind that they are learning eveything that they will need to know when they start Kindergarden. After the doctor's visit, Peyton took the girls down to visit with Great Grandmother this past Wednesday. They had a great time. Grandmother brought toys down from the attic. They bowled in the front yard, and they all went out to lunch together. What a wonderful way to spend a day in the middle of the week.

Saturday

We took the kids to see Madagascar 2 today. The movie was actually pretty good. Peyton and I both laughed out loud more than once. Sabrina and Samantha are getting better at movies. Each time out they are a little calmer. This is the third movie that they've made it through without any problems. I usually just take them to the dollar show. Pretty soon they'll be ready for the big theater too.

Growing up....

It's a sad reality, but the girls are really growing up. They are saying fewer and fewer 'cute' things. I'm always amazed at how much they know, but not a big a surprise. Michael is doing well. He's back on the right track at school. He has all As and Bs and he passed his credit recovery course for the Math class that went horribly wrong last semester. He's 15 now. He has to look down now when he talking to me. I'm not so sure he isn't going to tower over me eventually. I keep waiting on him to bring home his attendance record from school. He needs it to get his learners. I actually have a son who could have been driving since last August. Lucky for me, he just terribly interested in it yet. Destiny is actually at an age where she is reading big books. I wasn't sure chapter books would ever be in her future, but I was wrong. I hope she will love to read as much as her Dad and I do. I went through a phase this winter where I read about four or five books, but once again, I haven't finished one in over a month. Peyton is so right...everything is cyclical. Right now it's work, American Idol (both on TV and on the WII), Facebook, word games, The Office, and House. I forgot to post pictures from the snow two weekends ago. I put them on facebook, but forgot to put them on here.

Last Weekend

Last weekend we had Anna come over and stay on Friday night. On Saturday we took the girls to the park to play. Then on Sunday we went to Grandmother Peggy's 80th birthday party.

Grandma Peggy Turns 80

We spent last Sunday with the Duren family at Grandma Peggy's 80th birthday party. It was really nice to see everyone again. It's been so long since I've spent time with most of this side of the family. We ate lunch with Heather, Shane, Uncle Chris, and Stephanie. There was so much food we had platters of left over chicken (hand breaded) and crock pot after crock pot of roast beef and veggies. I made chicken and dumplins, broccoli casserole, and deviled eggs.
