DHL Luau Pictures

Holly, Sharon, Idarious, Sharon, Meko, and me

When moral seems to be low, we like to throw a party. It's a good way to take the edge off. Although I heard there was a secret TIKI BAR, I never found it.

Happy Father's Day

We rounded out our weekend with a Happy Father's Day celebration for the greatest Dad in the world. We are so blessed to have Peyton. He is a great Daddy to our kids and a fantastic husband. I will never forget the the feeling of falling in love with him. My heart literally skipped a beat, my stomach was fluttering, and I told myself to slow down. Peyton was probably my best friend at the time and I knew I would never be able to handle it if he didn't feel the same way about me. Good thing for all of us that he did. We bought Peyton some clothes, new sandles, Yardley's Soaps and a TomTom for the truck.

Happy Birthday Tyrus

Ty's second birthday party was just after the McGarity Reunion. We went directly to Grandmother Tingle's house for cake, ice cream, subs, and playing in the pool. I had a chance to really sit down with Katelyn. I don't ever seem to get enough time just sit down with my neices and nephews. It always seems like I'm chasing after one of my own. At one point, Ty stubbed his toe. He was upset enough that he let me hold him until it was all better...which was half a second and then he was off again... too many fun new things to play with.

McGarity Family Reunion

Busy weekend for us. The morning after Destiny's party, we were off to the McGarity family reunion. It's always nice to see everyone again. I especially enjoy hanging out with Edith, Henry, Danny, Linda, Karen and Van. They are a lot of fun. We always try to be there to represent Leroy McGarity, Grandmother Tingle's Dad.

Happy Birthday Destiny

We had a big party for Destiny's 8th birthday. We had a huge castle moonwalk and a Sno Kone Machine. We made a rainbow of colored Sno Kones for the kids and Jose Cuervo Sno Kones for the big KIDS. It was a lot of fun. I counted 25 adults and 4 kids. Tammy, Chandler and Kora couldn't make it to the party, but they stopped by last night to say hello and to bring Destiny a gift. It was very sweet and very unnecesary. Destiny was very surprised by her Hannah Montana party. We had the H.M. decorations and cake. She got tons of gifts, including a Hannah Montana bedspread and Sham from Mema and Papa Duren, TWO Hannah Montana clocks, a Hannah Montana sheet set from Aunt Rustie, Jace and Jordan, a Hannah Montana bean bag from Aunt Jenny, Uncle Tim and Bethany, a Hannah Montana bag with HM pencils, erasers, lip gloss, hairbrush, Hannah Sunglasses, a Hannah Montana throw blanket, a Hannah Montana doll....Hannah Hat and FINALLY, a HANNAH MONTANA bicycle. She couldn't have asked for more. At one point she was speachless. She also got some beautiful clothes from Grandmother and Granddaddy Tingle and a really cool purse from Krysia, Eric and Finley. A cool pottery wheel from Uncle Neil, Aunt Jenn and Tyrus. Somewhere near $50 in cash, which I hope she spends on anything but Hannah Montana. She also got an IHOME for her IPOD.

Scarlett Turns ONE !!!

Peyton took the kids to Stone Mountain for Scarlett's first birthday party. It was a pretty hot day and Jessica almost had to cancel the outside event just before it started, but everyone turned up and had a great time. Peyton brought a cooler full of water bottles and the kids used them like water guns to stay cool. Scarlett is just beautiful. She looks like Paul from the side and Jess straight on. It's very strange how much one baby can look like two different people. She's a real sweetheart.

No more Pics

I am about ready to say no more pictures ever. I just picked up the camera and realized that the screen is cracked. We've managed to go through 4 digital cameras in 2 years.

Skylar and Garrett

Skylar and Garrett hung out at our house this week for a couple of days. The Tingle kids were glad for the company.

Mema Lorelei's House

The girls stayed with my mom and dad last Saturday night so Peyton and I could go out. They had a great time. We took lots of pictures of Samantha playing dress up. Sabrina played for a while, but Sammi could play dress up all day long. In fact, today, she changed clothes no less than 20 times. Mema Shirley said, "She changed clothes at least 20 times today. She would come in and model for me and then go back and change again. She tried on all of her hats and gloves and shoes and almost every outfit in her closet." This is why the girls love Mema Shirley. They get away with anything. I wouldn't let Sammi watch the television tonight until she put all of the clothes back in her closet. Of course they are not folded and it looks like a big pile, but she put them back. Sabrina's lego tower is taller than she is. I don't know how she manages to get up on her tippie toes far enough to add those last blocks.
